Dinner & a Movie - My Fave!

Heading out the door to have dinner with my beautiful friend Carrie. I'm so excited. She's a fabulous cook and great company.

Update 01/17/2010:  So, we were originally going to watch Vantage Point and Akeelah and the Bee, but I was in such a hurry to get over there that I forgot to grab the movies. It worked out just fine because we watched The Great Debaters instead, which was awesome.

While we were still in the planning stages of the night, Carrie said she'd made a yummy dinner: chicken pot pie. Now, I don't know about you, but I've never had homemade chicken pot pie, so my only reference to such a dish was the ones you get in the freezer section that are...ummm...GROSS! But I know she is such a great cook that I had every confidence hers was going to be fab...and I was right. So so SO so good. I had two servings; not so helpful with my weight loss goals this year, but sometimes, you gotta live a little [or even a lot!].

2010: Productivity

This is just a quick post to wish you all a Happy New Year. I didn't get my blogsite completely renovated as I had hoped, but I'm trying to make a commitment to regular posting this year. I did a good job keeping everyone updated last year via Facebook and Twitter, but my blog got pretty neglected. This year, I plan to do much more writing here and [possibly] less updating on other networks. We'll see.

So, as the post title says, this is going to be a year of productivity for me. I've been on a mission to get things in my house more organized, such as my art studio and closets, to help facilitate that intention.

I'm hoping to have measurable progress in all aspects of my life this year: financial, spiritual, time management, interpersonal relationships, etc. I've spent a lot of time in the past trying to define my personal  website, trying to keep it hyper focused on whichever new *thing* I was into [art, music, wellness]. Now, it's just going to be the potpourri that is my life. Buckle up & enjoy the ride!

With that said, I'm off to prepare for an important job interview.
