I’m officially changing the format of Valentine’s Day. No longer will I sit around, waiting for someone, anyone, to do something special for me. This day will not be spent wishing I’d received flowers, cards & candy.

Self-love is the new cool, my friends. Do something wonderful for your OWN self today. The neat thing about it: you will get exactly what you put into this day. If you want flowers, send them to yourself. Send yourself a love letter. Write yourself a poem. Anything you’ve been waiting for is within your power.

I’ve planned a date this evening with myself that involves a hot bubble bath, scented candles and light jazz playing in the backdrop.
